Summer & Articling Programs
As a summer and articling student at Martha McCarthy & Company LLP, you will be immersed in the practice of family law from your first day on the job. Our small but focused team of lawyers teach by example, encouraging you to become involved in every aspect of a case - from the initial client meeting to attendance at trials, motions, appeals, mediations and arbitrations. Our “learn by doing” approach will provide you with an unparalleled education in the substance and procedure of family law as well as first-rate, practical advocacy experience.
We observe the guidelines for recruiting summer and articling students and conducting interviews as set annually by the Law Society of Upper Canada. We typically hire one to two second year law students each November for summer student positions. We recruit externally for articling student positions on occasion.
