Crystal Heidari

Crystal has experience across all areas of family law, including complex parenting issues, property division, support matters, and domestic contracts. She began her career in family law during her articling term and has continued to build her practice since being called to the Bar in 2021.
With a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from York University, where she graduated summa cum laude, Crystal’s academic excellence and leadership have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Robert J. Tiffin Award, Benjamin Laufer Memorial Entrance Scholarship, Alumni Golden GRADitude Award, and Faculty of Health Silver Medal.
Her background in psychology gives Crystal a deep understanding of human dynamics, child development, family violence, and mental health. She uses this insight to help clients navigate highly emotional family law matters and tailor solutions that work best for them. Crystal seamlessly handles various dispute resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation, adapting her strategy to meet her clients’ goals.
During law school, Crystal was Coordinator of Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Law Project, assisting self-represented litigants across the GTA navigate the family law system and prepare their litigation materials.
Crystal remains actively involved in the community as a Young Alumni Ambassador for York University and in elected leadership roles on the executive committees of the Ontario Bar Association’s Family Law Section, Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, Women’s Law Forum, and Young Lawyers Division (Central).
