Ella Benedetti

Ella is an associate at McCarthy Hansen & Company. Having summered and articled with the firm, Ella was called to the Ontario Bar in Summer 2024.
She holds a J.D. from Queen’s Law, where she worked as a Researcher with Professor Nicholas Bala, was a member of the Walsh Family Law Moot Team and contributed to the Kingston community through her roles as a Caseworker in both the Family Law and Elder Law Clinics.
Before attending law school, Ella obtained her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto in Criminology and Social Legal Studies, with a focus on parental rights and state intervention. Ella has recently co-authored an article on litigation abuse in the family-law context.
Outside of her legal practice, Ella enjoys being actively involved in her community. She has served as Co-Chair for LEAF Kingston, a mentor at Big Sisters Hamilton, and a board member of Connect Hamilton, a nonprofit that connects ministry-funded services to children with disabilities.
