Faria holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law and a M.A. (with Distinction) in Human Rights Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. Faria received her B.A. from the University of Toronto in Political Science and African Studies.
Throughout her time in law school, Faria was actively involved with Downtown Legal Services as a caseworker and member of the Board of Executives. In these capacities, she provided pro bono family law services to low-income clients. Faria deepened her knowledge of family law practice by assisting Duty Counsel at the Ontario Court of Justice through PBSC’s Family Law Project. Faria further broadened her legal education volunteering with the HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic of Ontario (HALCO) and with PBSC’s Wills & Estates Project.
Faria is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Advocates’ Society.
