Abigail Lidster
Lawyer
Abigail is an Associate at McCarthy Hansen & Company LLP. She holds a J.D. from the University of Windsor where she concurrently obtained a Master of Social Work. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba. Abigail worked at the firm as a summer student and articling student before being called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.
Prior to law school, Abigail worked for three years as a registered social worker in Saskatchewan and Alberta, supporting and advocating for families, children, and youth.
At Windsor Law, Abigail worked at Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Justice Centre where she drafted court documents and assisted self-represented litigants navigate Ontario’s family law system. She also worked as a Research Assistant on an Indigenous law project, served as a Teaching Assistant to first-year law students, and competed in the Walsh Family Law Moot.
Abigail is dedicated to providing comprehensive legal advice while advocating for solutions tailored to each client’s circumstances. Appreciating the often profound emotional impact of family law, she strives to support clients with care and empathy.
