Lauren Cohen
Student-at law
Lauren is an Articling Student at McCarthy Hansen & Company LLP. She earned her J.D. from Western University Faculty of Law and her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph.
Throughout law school, Lauren demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. She founded Innocence Western, an affiliate of Innocence Canada, served as a mentor to first-year law students interested in family law, served on Western Law’s Social Committee, and was actively involved with the Jewish Law Students’ Association. She has also volunteered with organizations supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, organized donation drives for women’s shelters, and supported initiatives dedicated to providing sporting equipment to children in need.
In recognition of her contributions to Western Law and the London community, Lauren received the David C. Scott Memorial Award in her final year of law school, recognizing a graduating student who has demonstrated exceptional extracurricular involvement while maintaining a strong academic record.
