Erica Graves

Clerk

Erica Graves successfully completed the Law Clerk program at Humber College in 2019. While a student, Erica was recognized for academic achievement and excellence by both the Business and Liberal Arts Schools, receiving the Honourable Roy Cullen, P.C. scholarship in addition to other distinctions. Concurrent with her studies, Erica worked with her community and the Canadian Environmental Lawyers Association (CELA) in respect of a local air pollution problem, advocating for better controls and protections for residents.

Erica began clerking with Martha McCarthy & Company LLP in 2018, working with a senior lawyer specializing in appellate and Charter litigation as well as family law reform. Erica has worked exclusively in family law since 2018, including as an Assistant Trial Coordinator at 361 University Avenue, and has experience supporting lawyers with matters at all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court, and Court of Appeal of Ontario. Erica works closely with clients and lawyers to prepare pleadings, financial statements, disclosure, conference, and motion materials. Erica’s ability to cultivate strong working relationships and really listen to clients makes her well-suited to anticipate and respond to each client’s needs as they evolve over time.
