Throughout law school, Ivana developed a strong interest in family law and sought out opportunities to build both her advocacy skills and practical experience. As a student caseworker with the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, she assisted self-represented litigants with child support matters, motions to change, and uncontested divorces. She also completed a placement with the Children’s Aid Society of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington where she gained valuable experience working on matters involving children and families. Through competing in the Walsh Family Law Moot, she further developed her oral advocacy, legal research, and written advocacy skills.

Upon graduation, Ivana received the Michelle McKelvey Award in recognition of her dedication to the study and practice of family law.
