Kai Tanveer

Kai is an associate at McCarthy Hansen & Company LLP. She holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a B.A./LLB (Hons.) from National Law University, Delhi, India. Kai summered and articled with the firm before her call to the Bar in 2024.
Prior to joining Osgoode, Kai worked as an associate in the Capital Markets branch of a leading full-service firm in India. She also worked as a senior researcher for Death Penalty India, focusing on collecting the demographic data of death row prisoners and assessing the impact of their incarceration.
During her time at Osgoode, Kai volunteered with the Innocence Project, a nonprofit legal organization that focuses on exonerating individuals who have been wrongfully convicted. She was a Research Assistant for Dr. Marsha Rampersaud for a research project on sentencing factors for young adults.
