Thea is an Articling Student at McCarthy Hansen & Company LLP. She earned her J.D. from Western University, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. Thea was awarded the Law Society of Ontario award, which recognizes the top 15 students in the graduating class.

Throughout law school, Thea was an active member of the Family Law Students’ Association, serving as Co-President in her final year. Thea was also a member of Western’s Dispute Resolution Centre, where she developed an interest in the ability to resolve complex disputes through mediation. In addition, Thea served as a researcher in the Walsh Family Law Moot.

Before attending law school, Thea earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour from McMaster University. As she begins her legal career, Thea plans to develop a thoughtful and client-centred approach to family law, drawing on her background in psychology.
