On November 26th, Martha McCarthy attended at the Parliamentary Committee in Ottawa as a witness to the proposed amendments under Bill C-78. Martha spoke about the Unified Family Court, the importance of labels in family law, and the risk of a presumption of joint custody.

The Rising Stars awards recognize leading lawyers under 40. Heather was acknowledged for her expertise in high conflict, high net-worth divorce litigation, her understanding of corporate and tax law, and her commitment to maintaining a paper-less practice. Heather has led three electronic trials in which all exhibits and submissions were made electronically.

This fall, we welcomed Kimberly Muio to the MMC team. Kim has experience in all areas of family law and child protection, where she has represented clients in mediation, arbitration, and all aspects of court proceedings and trial.
